SCHOOL SUPPLY TRAIN BACKPACK GIVEAWAY

Our backpack school supply train is scheduled for Aug 13, 8am-6pm and Aug14, 9am-11am, at the ROC. This is led by First Baptist Church of Longview, Buckner, and the Junior League of Longview. Over 3,000 backpacks will be stuffed and handed out to families that qualify. Help is needed in the following areas:
- Unloading school supplies from truck on Mon, Aug 2
- Stuffing bags with church information
- Volunteer for a 2 hr shift at the ROC during the event
All volunteers must have a completed background check on file at the church.

Easter Egg-stravaganza
For the last two years, First Baptist Longview has hosted an Easter Egg-stravaganza on the Gregg County Courthouse lawn. In 2010, we have over 800 people attend this fun, family event that included 7000 hidden eggs, inflatable activities, crafts, games, snacks, prize drawings, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny!
